Cape Town - Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler has warned his players against complacency, urging them not to let all their hard work go to waste after their 100 percent start to the season.
The former Orlando Pirates mentor has got his newly-assembled side off to the best possible start, as they have garnered two victories in two games, against Polokwane City and Chiefs in the league and MTN 8 tournament respectively.
Speaking ahead of their MTN 8 first-leg semi-final tie against Bidvest Wits, Tinkler said his side shouldn't get too confident, and also took the time to highlight his side's main objective.
"A loss is always around the corner. We don’t want to see all our hard work being in vain," he told the Sowetan.
"For us it is now all about building on what we have already achieved.
"Rebuilding a team does not happen overnight. It will take tome to grow and to get better. I think our objective must be to first and foremost stay in the league this season.
"Getting to that 30 point mark as quick as we can is the most important," he concluded.
