Cape Town - SuperSport United head coach Eric Tinkler feels Sifiso Myeni's cameo display can be the catalyst for the gifted playmaker to finally live up to his early potential.
Myeni, 29, joined Matsatsansa on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day after falling out of favour at Bidvest Wits.
He came on as a late substitute to break the deadlock for his new side in the 2-0 win over Platinum Stars on Tuesday evening.
His 85th-minute strike at the Lucas Moripe Stadium illustrated his supreme technical ability as he controlled the ball with his right foot and smashed a first-time left footed shot past goalkeeper Mbongeni Mzimela.
Now, Tinkler feels the player whom he worked with during his time as a coach at the Clever Boys will become an integral part of his new side in Tshwane.
"Myeni, obviously with game-time will get better and today (Tuesday) I think he was better than when he came on against Maritzburg," the former Cape Town City mentor said after the game.
"We are starting to see that creativity coming through and that ability he has. With more games he will add value to the squad."
Myeni brings vast experience to last seasons Nedbank Cup Champions, with 31 goals and 41 assists in 214 league appearances.
