Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler says he's always had faith that his team would get back to winning ways in the Absa Premiership.
Pirates are on a four-match winning streak, after seeing their domestic form struggle in the midst of successful run in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The emphatic 5-0 win over Jomo Cosmos at the weekend was indicative of their current run of form, a result that lifted them up to sixth place in the league standings.
"I have said in the past, you don't get all the way to a CAF Confederation Cup final because you are a bad team," Tinkler told Goal website.
"I had belief, though we had a slow start to the season. You get there because you are a good team. I knew eventually our form would get better and that is the case.
"The vast reality of football is that you are only as good as your last game, you know. So it is very important for us to now build upon what we managed to achieve over the last couple of months."
Tinkler expects his players to build on their winning streak when they lock horns with title hopefuls Wits at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday evening.
He added: "We need to go to Wits to try and collect the three points but we are well aware that we are playing a team that is very, very good."
