Tinkler eager for Nedbank Cup capture

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler says that he would love to end the season off with the Nedbank Cup in the club's silverware cabinet.

Pirates cruised into the quarter-finals of the as they saw off Jomo Cosmos 3-1 at Olen Park on Sunday afternoon.

According to KickOff, Tinkler says that they are well aware that the Nedbank Cup is the only chance for his side to end up with silverware before the season ends.

“The players know exactly how important it is for us to finish on a strong note, both in the league and to go far in this competition," said Tinkler.

“I think we feel it more than anyone else. We know how disappointing it is to finish the season without any silverware.

“Besides the bonuses that you also lose out, there is also that factor which I explained to the players that you are allowing people to rob your money out of your pockets.

“You can't be happy with that and that's very important.”
