Eric Tinkler and Josef Vukuzic agreed that the King Zwelithini
Stadium's pitch was shocking during the KwaZulu-Natal derby last
Maritzburg United and AmaZulu played out a goalless draw in their
Absa Premiership clash as both sides struggled to play their natural
game on a difficult surface.
Tinkler pulled no punches in his assessment of the pitch and Vukuzic agreed wholeheartedly with the criticism.
"To be brutally honest, everybody that was watching this on TV would
have changed the channel. I don’t think the pitch helped either team,
both teams were forced to play ugly football," said Tinkler, as quoted
