Cape Town - Black Leopards chairperson David Thidiela will meet the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee for bringing the league into disrepute.

Thidiela was found guilty as he threatened referee Victor Hlungwani following Lidoda Duvha’s 1-0 defeat to Bloemfontein Celtic last season.

A report said that Thidiela told the official to ‘never set foot in Venda’ again after the match.

The Leopards boss was sanctioned with a one-year ban and fined R1-million in February earlier this year.

However, in July the fine was reduced to R200 000 with the rest suspended after filing an appeal.

According to KickOff, Thidiela will now be questioned for his words on PSL chairperson Irvin Khoza.

Thidiela put pen-to-paper on a scathing letter calling for rapid change in the league’s hierarchy.

“The other Thidiela matter is on the roll I think for the 6th of November,” PSL prosecutor Nande Becker said.

“This is the case where he had everything to say about the league when he said it has been captured etc. So that one has been set for a hearing again.”
