Cape Town - Highlands Park have won the race for highly-rated attacking midfielder Brandon Theron from National First Division side Milano United.
The former Stars of Africa academy graduate's goal-scoring ability and flair in the advanced playmaker role for 'Eezy My Kinnes' attracted the attention of various Premiership clubs.
It was reported last month that Platinum Stars and newly-founded Cape Town City were keen on his services, but Milano team manager Sean Ferrier confirmed Theron will be joining newly-promoted top-flight team.
"Yes, I can confirm that "Junior" (Brandon Theron) has signed a three year deal with Highlands Park," he told KickOff.
"We would've loved to hold onto him as he was an important player to our club. However, this is a massive opportunity and also a very good deal.
"It would have been foolish to stand in his way as he gets a chance to play top flight football."
