The derby is always the same, a bit tactical - Jele

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates captain Happy Jele says the Sea Robbers camp is brimming with confidence ahead of the much-anticipated Soweto derby clash with Kaizer Chiefs.

The Buccaneers have enjoyed a good run against their rivals in recent years and are unbeaten in the derby since December 2014.

However, Jele downplayed the dominance over Amakhosi and stated that they are focused on doing the job in the field of play on Saturday.

"I think for us, it's very important to focus on ourselves. We don't know about Kaizer Chiefs that they are underdogs or what. But for us it's just to focus on our game," Jele told a press conference.

"There is a lot of work that we have been doing behind the scenes, the players are working hard. We are trying to put a lot of effort into this game coming on Saturday.

"The guys are motivated; you can't motivate a player when it comes to the derby, they are motivated already. We want to implement what we have been doing at training.

"It's going to be an entertaining game and for us we want to try and make sure we get the maximum points. But all in all, we will try to enjoy the game.

"The derby is always the same, a bit tactical and it's a big game in the continent. As a player you need to know what do in the field and get the maximum points.”

Kick-off is at 15:30.
