Cape Town - Kaitano Tembo says winning Wednesday's Absa Premiership clash with Orlando Pirates is the motivation that SuperSport needs to move away from the relegation zone.
The two teams will clash at Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday night, where Pirates need the three points to keep pressure on Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns while victory for Matsatsantsa will help them move away from the danger zone.
Supersport United go into the match on the back of 1-0 defeats at the hands of Polokwane City and Kenyan side Gor Mahia in the Premiership and CAF Confederation Cup respectively.
Despite the poor form, Tembo is adamant a win over the Soweto giants might work wonders for them in the fight to move away from the relegation zone.
Tembo told the PSL website: "We always have to be positive because we are in this situation. We have to pick ourselves up and motivate the players and keep pushing.
"We are trying by all means to focus on our remaining matches. We take it game by game and not try to put ourselves under pressure.
"We know where we are and we know what we need to do to get out of the situation. It’s also about getting that win and maybe that will take us out of the situation we are in."
Kick-off is at 19:30.
