Teko signs Sundowns extension

Cape Town -Agent Jazzman Mahlakgane has confirmed that his client Teko Modise has signed a contract extension with Mamelodi Sundowns.

Last season Sundowns exercised their option for an extra year on Modise’s deal after the backing of coach Pitso Mosimane.

Despite the fact that Modise has not been a regular in the starting line-up, Mosimane rates the former Bafana Bafana midfielder highly.

"Yes, it is true (the option) has been exercised but you should know that apart from exercising the option, the team has also given Teko two more years," Mahlakgane told Soccer Laduma.

"This means it's two years and an extension and that will see him at the team until 2019."
