Tau wants CAF star on 'Downs crest

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns midfield prodigy Percy Tau has expressed his desire to a historic triumph in the CAF Champions League final.

Sundowns will take on the Egyptian side in the first-leg at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday before the deciding leg up north on October 23.

The 22-year-old has had some inspired performances in the competition having scored key goals in the group stages and the semi-final.

"Orlando Pirates have a star and they talk with a lot of pride about the star. So if I can have the star at 22...I will have to take a lot of pictures for that," Tau told Sowetan.

"I have been here since I was 17 and I understand a few things about the team. And when I came back [from Spurs] things were the same, but it is just that I came back different. They accommodated me and I was given responsibilities. So far so good."
