Cape Town - After completing a triumphant season with Mamelodi Sundowns, Percy Tau has revealed he wants to move overseas as soon as he gets the chance.
Tau, who turned 24 on Sunday, has claimed that after his experiences at Mamelodi Sundowns, where he has won the Absa Premiership and the CAF Champions League, he is ready for a new challenge.
"If I get an opportunity [then I’ll go abroad]. I’ve played [CAF] Champions League; I’ve played Club World Cup; I’ve played for Bafana," he said, as quoted by KickOff website.
"I’ve tested myself in those stages and I’ve seen a lot of those things."
Tau is widely considered to have been the key player for Sundowns this season, scoring 11 league goals and bagging 15 assists.
The striker finished the season joint-top of the Premiership scoring chart, alongside Polokwane City's Rodney Ramagalela.
"I’m so proud of the work we’ve done and we fought hard, and finally we get a chance to celebrate and get this medal again," Tau said.
"Last season was difficult because we lost it in the last three games, but at least this year we did much better."
Sundowns will be back in action on Wednesday as they welcome La Liga giants Barcelona for Mandela Centenary Cup.
The match will be held at the FNB Stadium with a 18:00 kick-off.
