Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns forward Percy Tau hailed the performance of his side following their 2-1 Premiership victory against Platinum Stars, whilst revealing that he didn't play well in the first-half.
The Brazilians extended their unbeaten run to six games without a loss after Khama Billiat's 83rd minute strike secured maximum points for Pitso Mosimane's men.
Themba Zwane had opened the scoring on 11 minutes before Sphamandla Mlilo netted a 49th minute equaliser.
Despite picking up his umpteenth man-of-the-match award this season, Tau was disappointed with his first-half performance where he notably missed two one-on-one opportunities.
"It's good for the team, I think we did well as a team and this is for the team," he said in post-match comments.
"We were given another opportunity to try and win, and we did that so it was important for us to come here and win and take the three points because we are doing catch-ups.
"And from the win it's good that we still stay focused and respect the league.
"Look, I don't think personally that I did well in the first-half, I got a few chances that I should have scored but it's part of the game.
"I'm still learning though and it's part of the process and I just hope that the team and coach accept that I am still learning," he concluded.
