SuperSport United renew Bhasera's deal for another year

Cape Town - SuperSport United Chief Executive Officer Stan Matthews confirmed the club have extended the deal of defender Onismor Bhasera for another season.

Bhasera has been a committed and professional performer for Matsatsantsa in 2018/19, making 22 Premiership appearances for the Pretoria-based outfit.

The former Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits star joined SSU ahead of the 2016/17 season and has performed well after battling back from a spate of injuries.

Matthews told Soccer Laduma: "Yes, we've given Bhasera a new one-year deal as a result of the way that he's played for the club this season and the continued professionalism and impeccable attitude that he has displayed since joining us.

"We're very happy that he'll still be with us next season. He's the sort of person we want to be part of this club."

While the Zimbabwe ace is guaranteed at least one more season in the Premiership with United, the futures of the likes of Morgan Gould, James Keene and Bongani Khumalo are uncertain.

Meanwhile, veteran central midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane has already been informed his contract will not be renewed.
