Cape Town - SuperSport United will have revenge on their minds when they renew hostilities with Golden Arrows in Pretoria on Tuesday evening.

Kick-off is at 19:30.

Kaitano Tembo's men were knocked out of the Telkom Knockout at the quarter-finals stage after a 1-0 loss to Arrows on Saturday night, with Lindokuhle Mtshali netting the match-winner.

It was certainly a closely contested cup clash, and fans can expect more of the same in midweek, with the two sides level on 13 points in the Premiership standings after nine fixtures.

SuperSport occupy fifth place, though, due to a superior goal difference, and they have collected five points from their last three league fixtures.

Abafana Bes'thende, meanwhile, have won three on the trot in all competitions, and will be confident of a repeat result when they face SuperSport for the second time in the space of a week.

Steve Komphela's men defeated Polokwane in the TKO last-16 and followed up on that result by recording 2-1 win over the same opponents a week later in the Premiership.

They'll undoubtedly be hoping for a repeat on Tuesday night, but it won't be easy as SuperSport boast a decent record on home soil, while Arrows have picked up just two points from their last five league games away from home.

Looking ahead to Tuesday's clash, Tembo highlighted the areas where his side would need to improve.

He told Backpage TXT: "Our finishing in the final third and decision making. We need to improve that.

"We had the same problem on Wednesday (against Celtic) and Saturday (against Arrows). We need to put this game behind and think about Tuesday."

Komphela, meanwhile, is expecting the exertions of Saturday's cup clash in Nelspruit to have a negative effect on SuperSport's preparations.

He said: "The trip to Bloemfontein must have taken a lot of energy and they will suffer a bit.

"So, I hope when we meet them on Tuesday, they will be tired. Let them tire so that we can beat them again."
