Cape Town - SuperSport United have rejected a transfer request from their prolific striker Jeremy Brockie the club confirmed on Sunday.
The club took to it's Facebook account to confirm it's decision in a statement while confirming that the New Zealander would not be sold.
"The club would like to officially confirm that Jeremy Brockie handed in a transfer request last week which the SuperSport United board has rejected.
"The Matsatsantsa striker will NOT be sold to any club at any price," the statement read.
Brockie was completely left out of the Matsatsantsa squad for Saturday's MTN8 semi-final against Maritzburg United, despite being fit.
The 29-year-old, who scored the winning goal which took United to the last four, was left on the bench for the victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the Premiership amid reports linking him with a move to African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has made no secret of the fact that he admires the New Zealand international, and made it clear the club want to sign a 'sniper' capable of scoring plenty of goals.
As such, it appears Brockie's absence from the squad to face the Team of Choice on Saturday is an indication that a move to Chloorkop could potentially be on the cards in the not too distant future.
In his four seasons with the Pretoria-based outfit, the Christchurch born hitman has banged in close to 50 goals in all competitions for the side currently coached by Eric Tinkler.
