Johannesburg - Bidvest Wits' impressive start to the Absa Premiership season came to an end after they suffered a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of SuperSport United on Saturday night.
SuperSport broke the deadlock with 20 minutes remaining when Onismor Bhasera's shot deflected into the path of Evans Rusike, who volleyed past Wits ‘keeper Darren Keet.
Wits remain atop the log standings after three wins from four matches, while SuperSport are third with two wins from three matches.
Wits' next encounter is at home against Free State Stars on August 4, while SuperSport are away to Cape Town City on the same day.
