Cape Town - SuperSport United squandered a chance to cement their place in the top eight of the Absa Premiership standings as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Polokwane City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.
Dean Furman looked to have secured a rare home win for Matsatsantsa, but Tshepo Matsemela found the back of the net with one minute of regulation time remaining to secure a third successive draw for Rise and Shine.
Polokwane started the game on the front foot with Esau Kanyenda unlucky to see his header attempt canon off the post in the 12th minute.
SuperSport, though, would open the scoring with Dove Wome netting his fourth goal of the season after George Chigova parried Bradley Grobler's close range effort in the 32nd minute.
