SuperSport looking to strike Gould

Cape town - Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Morgan Gould is reportedly set to begin training with his previous employers SuperSport United, according to reports.

The 33-year-old former Bafana Bafana central defender left Amakhosi at the end of last season and is currently a free agent.

SuperSport head coach Stuart Baxter has confirmed that the defender could potentially sign for the Pretoria club, who are also looking at several other options in defence.

"We've got Morgan Gould coming in tomorrow, he'll buy us a bit of time and will be a good short-term acquisition if we take him. We also have an option in Scandinavia and are looking into an Argentinian that has been recommended to us by Manchester United," Baxter told Soccer Laduma.

Gould previously spent four seasons with Matsatsantsa, winning the league title there on two occasions after being signed from Jomo Cosmos by Gavin Hunt.
