SuperSport linked with Anoma

Cape Town - SuperSport United are looking at boosting their defence as the Tshwane club reportedly assess Ivorian defender Steve Anoma.

Anoma has been playing in the National First Division for FC Cape Town, having previously been at Armenian club Shirak.

He could now be set to take the step up to the top flight, with the Goal website quoting a source close to the player as confirming he is currently in Pretoria.

"Steve is a 20-year-old defender from Ivory Coast. He is currently on trial at SuperSport. He is a powerful central defender and has done well since arriving in the country."

Anoma would not however be able to play for Gordon Igesund's team this season as the club currently have five foreign players - Dove Wome, Jeremy Brockie, Issaka Cernak, Michael Boxall and Kingston Nkhatha, on their books.
