Cape Town - A late equaliser from Chippa United at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Saturday earned the home side a 1-1 league draw with SuperSport United.
There was an early chance for SuperSport in the fifth minute when Grant Kekana fired a shot straight at Chippa keeper Daniel Akpeyi.
But Matsatsantsa did not have to wait long for a goal to arrive as Thabo Mnyamane blasted the ball past Akpeyi in the ninth minute after the Nigerian had parried a save into his path.
It should have been 2-0 in the 34th minute when the Tshwane side were awarded a penalty, but Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman put the spot kick wide.
Chippa were close to equalising when Thabo Rakhale's 44th minute shot was pushed onto the bar by Ronwen Williams, while at the other end, Akpeyi made a brilliant stop to deny Kingston Nkhatha from close range just before half time.
The Pretoria team had chances after the break to extend their advantage, but Nkhatha struck a 55th minute over the bar before Teboho Mokoena poked an effort marginally wide soon after.
Nkhatha missed another great chance with 25 minutes to go and it was to prove costly when Rakhale grabbed the equaliser with just a minute of regulation time left in the tie.
