SuperSport confirm Mayambela capture

Cape Town - SuperSport United and Chippa United have come to an agreement for the early release of midfielder, Mark Mayambela.

The 28-year old is United’s first signing of the January transfer window and will join his Matsatsantsa team-mates with immediate effect.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for me to come here and hopefully play some regular football at a big club like SuperSport United.

“It was a move which happened very quickly and one which I am delighted to have been able to finalise so soon.

“I’m looking forward to meeting up with the lads, I’ve got my first training session this morning and I’m available to play should I be picked.”

After a successful spell in Sweden for Djurgarden in 2014 the skillful midfielder returned home to join Chippa United and featured in 9 of the 12 league games this season and contributing scoring 2 goals.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
