SuperSport back to winning ways with a bang

Cape Town - SuperSport United defeated Bloemfontein Celtic 4-2 in an enthralling Absa Premiership clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

Celtic were lively from the off with Menzi Masuku firing in an early shot on target, only to be denied by Matsatsantsa goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse.

Jacky Motshegwa then put the visitors ahead with a good finish past Pieterse following a powerful drive into the area.

SuperSport were back on level terms when Mogakolodi Ngele pounced on a loose ball and fired home past Patrick Tignyemb, while some sloppy defending from the Celtic defence soon allowed Evans Rusike to sneak in behind and slot home and give the home side a slight advantage going into the break.

SuperSport were guilty of gifting possession to their opponents to allow Ndumiso Mabena to level once again, but it also appeared as if there were more goals in this game, which duly arrived through Aubrey Modiba and Teboho Mokoena.

Second half substitute Mokoena fed Modiba, who finished well inside the box to fire SuperSport ahead again, before Mokoena was on hand to fire home a fourth for a well deserved win for Tinkler's charges.
