Cape Town - CAF African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns have been rewarded with a place amongst the top seeds for this years Champions League group stage.
While the draw for Africa's leading cup competition has yet to take place, the South African Premiership side can rest assured they won't be paired with Egyptian sides Al Ahly, Zamalek or Tunisian giants Etoile Du Sahel.
The points coefficient based on performance in the continental showpiece of the last five years, ranks the club's in respective seeding spots.
This is the first time the seeding has been used as a historic Champions League campaign is set, as the group stage has been expanded from eight teams to 16 teams.
