Cape Town - Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Eric Ramasike has called on the team management to make a swoop for prodigious Ajax Cape Town youngster Rivaldo Coetzee.
Reports have suggested that the Urban Warriors are only willing to offload Coetzee to an overseas club.
Ramasike believes that Bafana Bafana international is Sundowns material and can slot into the back-line to bolster the team.
"If there is one player that the team can bring in is Rivaldo Coetzee. He is a world class player and he would be a nice signing for Sundowns," Ramasike told Goal website.
"I think he reminds me of the late Joas Magolego because of the way he plays. He is calm, reads the game very well and is comfortable on the ball for a defender and surely Sundowns can tempt Ajax into selling him to them by giving the Cape Town outfit an offer too good to turn down.
"We know money is not a problem for Sundowns and they can buy the best players in the country like they have done before.
"His marking is also excellent and the good thing about him is that he has age on his side. It's not that the Sundowns defenders are not doing their part, but any top team needs a quality defender like Rivaldo."
