Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he has to be bold and believe his side can win the Absa Premiership or he risks the wrath of the clubs supporters.
There are a number of sides who are challenging for the title in 2018/19 with the likes of Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City all in the mix.
Sundowns recently beat Maritzburg United 2-1 to move to the top of the standings as they go in search of a record extending ninth title.
As such, Mosimane takes the view that being bold is important to being successful. He told reporters: "Do you think there is a team that plays that does not want to win the league? Be honest now.
"I mean if Cape Town City says they want to win, they believe. The boy who scored the free kick [Chris] David, he says, 'if you believe you can win, you can win' What a talk from the boy. They believe they can win the league and why not?
"I've seen them beat Orlando Pirates, I've seen them beat Wits and I've seen them beat us. So, what makes you say they can't win the league. They have a chance also. So, anything is possible, Kaitano [Tembo] can still win the league, honestly, it's doable. We want to win the league and we say it. We are never shy to say it.
"I can't face Sundowns supporters and say, 'I don't know if we want to win the league'. I can't, they'll kill me. We have eight titles, we said we want to go to nine and we want to go to 10. We want another star. I can't play modest, I want to win the league."
