Sundown's Razak linked with Dikwena switch

Cape Town - An unconfirmed report is claiming that Mamelodi Sundowns forward Abdul Fiston Razak is wanted by Platinum Stars.

The 23-year-old Burundian has spent the last two seasons on loan at Bloemfontein Celtic from Sundowns, playing 34 league and cup matches and scoring seven goals.

But he is reportedly back with the Pretoria club, although he is not expected to be added to Pitso Mosimane's squad for the current season.

Platinum Stars meanwhile are short in the striking department, and according to a source close to the player, the North West club are keen on getting Razak on board.

"Platinum Stars are interested in Razak. The only problem now is the player's terms. They want to sign him because they lost Ndumiso Mabena, and it is not clear whether they will retain Bongi Ntuli (who is also owned by Sundowns) or not," the source told IOL.

Razak's manager Lwazi Mazibuko meanwhile confirmed that there is interest in the player within the PSL, but would not name any clubs.

Stars next face a trip after the international break to the Lucas Moripe Stadium to face Eric Tinkler's SuperSport United on September 13.

Kick off is at 19:30.
