Cape Town - A report has stated that Ghana international 'keeper Richard Ofori is set to sign for African champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ofori made his debut for the Ghana senior team in the third and fourth playoff game against Burkina Faso at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
According to Goal.com website, 22-year-old Ofori has been training with South African league champions Sundowns since the Nations Cup ended, and is being eyed as back-up for first choice 'keeper, Uganda international Denis Onyango.
Technical Director of the South African Coaches Association, Sudesh Singh, reportedly confirmed the news to the Empire FM radio station in Ghana.
"Sundowns is looking at dominating for a foreseeable future, currently Pitso (Mosimane) has invited Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori for trials and he sees him as a better competition to Denis Onyango," he said.
"I can confirm that with the little I've heard and seen, Richard will be a good addition to the side and very soon he should be a Sundowns player."
