Sundowns heading to Mpumalanga for pre-season

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are setting up base in Mpumalanga as part of their pre-season preparations for the 2019/2020 campaign.

According to an unnamed Sundowns official, the club have organised friendlies against National First Division sides TS Sporting and Mbombela United as well as a club from Mozambique.

"Our preparations for the new season are going well. The guys are back and everyone is looking forward to the new season," said the official.

"We are heading to Mpumalanga, where we are going to set up our camp base in Nelspruit starting from Sunday," he added.

Pitso Mosimane's side have another busy season ahead of them as they will once again have to juggle domestic and continental battle. Downs will be looking to secure their 10th PSL title and go one better than their semi-final exit in the CAF Champions League.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
