Sundowns geared up for hectic end of season schedule

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns' legal and commercial manager Yogesh Singh says the club are ready to play six matches in a short period of time before their last game against Free State Stars on 11 May.

The Brazilians have four Premiership games to play against Chippa United, Black Leopards, Golden Arrows and Stars domestically, while also have an home and away CAF Champions League semi-final against Wydad Casablanca.

The schedule means that Downs are playing virtually a match every three days until the end of the campaign.

Nonetheless, Singh says the club are prepared for this daunting challenge as they are legally obliged to conclude the season on 11 May.

Singh told Daily Sun: "We have no choice but to meet our league obligations.

"We were expected to complete the season on 11 May, and this is what we will have to do.

"This is the day that the league cannot move. Remember there is also the Nedbank Cup final scheduled for 18 May.

"For now we are just going to have to make it happen, under the circumstances."
