The Sundowns play-maker, 27, found the back of the net with a curling effort from the edge of the area, having opened his account from the penalty spot earlier in the contest.

This is the Uruguayan's first Goal of the Month award, as he beat off competition from team-mate Jeremy Brockie, among others.

Sirino has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season, bagging five goals while providing five assists.

Fans made their votes on www.PSL.co.za, and they are now being urged to have their say on the December nominations.

The voting on the December Goal of the Month opened on the PSL website on January 1 and will close at midnight on January 31.
