Sundowns confirm Lebese released, Brockie joins Maritzburg

Cape Town - Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns has confirmed the exit of attacker George Lebese after the termination of his contract by mutual consent.

Lebese had returned from a short-term loan spell at Tshwane rivals SuperSport United - where he failed to secure a permanent move - and will now be aiming to reignite his playing career.

The 30-year-old joins a long list of departures with Sundowns confirming several other fringe players have been registered for the 2019/2020 campaign.

The Chloorkop-based side also confirmed the departure of Sibusiso Khumalo who spent last season on loan at Bidvest Wits.

Masandawana confirmed on their club website these players included: Lucky Mohomi, Aubrey Ngoma, Jose Ali Meza, Abram Ngcobo, Harold Majadibodu and Nicholus Lukhubeni.

Meanwhile striker Jeremy Brockie has joined Maritzburg United on a season-long loan.
