Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are set to land long-term transfer target Deolin Mekoa at the end of the campaign on one condition, according to Maritzburg United.
The Team of Choice have played hardball with their most prized asset over the past two seasons, with a host of Premiership clubs hot on the trail of the South Africa international.
Mekoa has been identified as the perfect replacement for Keagan Dolly, who left Masandawana in January, but United chairman Farook Kadodia will only release the player if the Brazilians meet their transfer demands.
"We are still talking with Sundowns. We are agreeing on many things, but they should give us certain players for us to release Deolin," Kadodia told Isolezwe.
"Afterwards they can start negotiating personal terms with the player."
Mekoa has scored two goals and registered six assists in 23 league outings for the KwaZulu-Natal club this season.
