Sundowns boss Mosimane heaps praise on coronavirus front-liners

Pitso Mosimane has thanked those on the 'front-line' in South Africa in fighting COVID-19, with a message to the nation.

With all sporting activity suspended and the country in a 21-day lockdown, only those in crucial jobs and service delivery are still working hard everyday.

And the Mamelodi Sundowns coach wanted to make sure he showed his appreciation, with a few kind words.

Speaking from an exercise bike, Mosimane, who posted his message on Twitter, said: "Hello South Africa. On behalf of Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club, we would like to thank everybody who is on the front line...the police, nurses, doctors, the army and volunteers, who are really serving us to save our lives.

"Lets make those people's jobs easier by washing out hands regularly, sanitizing and keeping social distancing, and by staying at home! Thank you."

The Premier Soccer League remain hopeful that the 2019/20 Premiership will be able to continue and have set a return date of April 16.
