Sukazi confirms Khuzwayo still happy at Chiefs

Cape Town - The agent of Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo has swiftly denied reports that his client wants to leave the Soweto giants at the end of his contract.

Khuzwayo, 27, is within his fifth season at the club since joining from AmaZulu and there have been reports surfacing in local media that the South Africa international wants to leave at the end of the season.

With eight months left on his current deal, Cape Town City have been linked with the talented shot-stopper who's acted as back-up for Itumeleng Khune during his time at Naturena.

"Chiefs want us to open talks," he told IOL. "They want to avoid a situation where Brilliant can be in a position to talk with other teams, since his contract is expiring on June 30, 2018. In January, he can start talks with any team."

Sukazi claims his client's recent Twitter post; "Sometimes hard work isn't enough when you don’t fit in the picture frame," was not about his situation at Amakhosi.

"Chiefs want us to finish talks before the end of December. People took his Twitter post out of context. He is still happy at Chiefs, and Chiefs are also happy with him.

"Brilliant was indicating to other things that are outside of football. He was not trying to suggest that he is not happy at Chiefs. I had a word with him after the tweet, and he told me he is still happy at Chiefs."
