Cape Town - Newly-promoted Absa Premiership side Stellenbosch FC on Thursday unveiled Dutch goalkeeper Boy de Jong as the club's latest signing, ahead of the 2019/2020 campaign.
"Another new member to the Stellenbosch family!" the club said. "Happy to have Boy de Jong on board!"
The 25-year-old came through the ranks at Feyenoord before moving onto PEC Zwolle and lastly Anderlecht where his father Max already worked as a goalkeeper coach.
De Jong - who found himself as third-choice - failed to make a competitive appearance for Anderlecht last season and has now joined Stellenbosch FC after his contract was not extended in Belgium.
Another new member to our expanding Stellenbosch FC family! Happy to have Boy de Jong on board!
