Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has warned the club's supporters that mental and physical fatigue could affect performance, ahead of Friday's CAF Champions League match against FC Platinum.
Pirates host the Zimbabwean outfit at the Orlando Stadium on Friday evening, and while the Buccaneers have a relatively clean bill of health, Sredojevic is wary of burning out his charges.
"Fatigue factor is of course there, because we’re having some test we’re doing and if I tell you that three players could not even conduct the test, which means they’ve already given everything and could almost collapse,” he told KickOff.
"But we are using all possible means to find ways to recover, refresh and recuperate them to be ready for Friday’s game."
Motshwari is the only injury doubt for the clash after the midfielder sustained a groin injury at the weekend.
"Ben was injured, Memela wasn’t training but he got an injection to play [against Bloemfontein Celtic] and he scored the important goal,” Sredojevic added.
"The rest of the squad we shall assess and know what the situation is before Friday. Our players are really stretching over all possible limits and giving their best."
