Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced a new date for the first Soweto derby of the Absa Premiership season, which will now take place on Saturday, October 21.
Kaizer Chiefs were originally scheduled to lock horns with arch-rivals Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium on October 28, but the fixture has now been brought forward by a week.
The venue and the kick-off time remain unchanged for the clash between South Africa's two biggest-supported football clubs.
Amakhosi confirmed the date change, while adding that tickets for the highly-anticipated encounter have yet to go on sale.
"The PSL has announced that the date for the Soweto derby has been changed from October 28 to October 21 (kick-off at 15:30)," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The tickets for this clash between the Soweto giants at FNB Stadium are not yet on sale."
Meanwhile, Chiefs also revealed a slight change to their kick-off time against high-flying Golden Arrows on Saturday, with the match now starting 15 minutes earlier than expected.
"Please also be aware that the kick-off time for our league fixture against Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium on Saturday, September 23, has changed. The match will now start 15 minutes earlier at 20:00," added the statement.
