Solinas wants more from Ea Lla Koto

Cape Town - Free State Stars coach Giovanni Solinas believes there was more work to be done despite their 2-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday.

Stars secured their third consecutive win in all competition after a brace from Sello Japhta in the derby at the Free State Stadium.

The Italian-born tactician wants more from his players in order for the eighth placed Stars to cement their spot in the top half.

"It was a difficult game because Celtic play for survival, and with a lot of determination," Solinas told SuperSport after the game.

"I'm very proud of my players, who played very, very well in the first half. We also started the second half very well, but suffered a bit near the end of the game, but that's normal as Celtic was pushing very hard.

"I'm not satisfied. Yes, I'm happy with the three points, but we need to improve. We need to improve the system, the movement, defensively and offensively also."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
