Cape Town - New Free State Stars coach Giovanni Solinas is pleased with the positive manner in which his players are reacting to his methods.
The Italian tactician was emboldened by his team's 2-1 victory over Platinum Stars ahead of the derby against Bloemfontein Celtic at Goble Park on this Saturday.
Solinas has now turned his attentions to getting a positive result from the local derby to add to Stars' 18-point tally in the Absa Premiership.
"The boys did exceptionally well. They played according to my instructions, which is very pleasing," Solinas told the club's website.
"We could have finished the game off in the first half as we created more chances than our opponents. The good thing is that we are creating chances. Now we must work on our finishing.
"We must stay grounded and focus on the derby next weekend. The objective in the next few matches is to get as many points as possible and stay clear of the relegation zone.
"After that maybe we will assess our targets again."
