Solinas: Kaizer Chiefs couldn't convert chances

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas feels his side were unlucky not snatch a late winner in their goalless draw with Highlands Park on Tuesday evening.

The Italian mentor admitted that both teams played good football on the night, although he felt Makhulong Stadium did not suit their style of play.

He was disappointed that Amakhosi did not walk away with all three points, but was happy his side maintained their unbeaten run in the last four games.

"Good game, both teams played well. We created chances to score but it's a pity (we didn't score). I appreciate the effort from my players. In the last minute they tried to win the game so I'm happy," Solinas told SuperSport.

"Difficult game to play because of the small field, the grass was not good to play combinations. It was not easy today.

"I don't like playing a lot of long balls, long throw-ins. In the second half we created chances to win the game it's a pity we didn't convert these chances. But it's okay we now focus on the next game.

"Kaizer Chiefs always need three points. Kaizer Chiefs plays to win the game so when we draw we are not happy. But it's okay the league is still long, there are a lot of games to play. So now we focus on the next game, Saturday we have a very important game."
