Cape Town - After shocking Orlando Pirates in their PSL clash, Free State Stars coach Giovanni Solinas dedicated the victory to his injured players.
According to KickOff, it was Ayanda Nkosi’s 80th minute poach which handed Stars three points at Goble Park.
"This victory is dedicated to our injured players: Themba Shabalala, Davis Nkausu, Sthembiso Ngcobo, Andrea Fileccia and [Moeketsi] Sekola," said Solinas.
"This victory is for these guys... I think my team played very well and deserved to win.
"Pirates are a good team, who play good football, but I am very happy for my guys."
Ea Lla Koto are now in seventh position while the Buccaneers are in 11th spot.
Pirates next opponents are Mpumalanga Black Aces on Sunday while Stars travel to the Eastern Cape to take on Chippa United.
