Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas has broken his silence on centre-back Lorenzo Gordinho, who he wants recalled from his loan at Bloemfontein Celtic.

Chiefs are looking to bring Gordinho back early from his one-year loan deal, which started in January, but Celtic are holding firm, insisting that they do not have the right to ask for him back at will.
"I don't want to speak too much about the issue of Lorenzo Gordinho, because at the moment he's not a Kaizer Chiefs player," said Solinas, according to KickOff.
"I can say only one thing; me, I like Lorenzo Gordinho. For me he's a very good player but at the moment he's a Celtic player, so I don't want to speak too much about Gordinho because I respect Celtic, the club and also Steve Komphela's job.
"So for me he's a very good player. The two clubs are talking and I don't know. I'm hoping for a positive decision for us. Because, in my own opinion, he can help our team and our job."
Amakhosi have claimed that apart from Solinas' plans for Gordinho, their decision to recall him early has also been motivated by ongoing player salary issues at Phunya Sele Sele, who are on the verge of a takeover pending approval from the Premier Soccer League.
