Cape Town - Lionel Soccoia has become the third PSL coach to be sacked in less than 48 hours after being dismissed from his head coach role at Black Leopards.
Leopards confirmed the news on their Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon. Soccoia only took the reins at the end of last season after the resignation of Dylan Kerr, who saved the Thohoyandou-based side from relegation on the final day of the season.
Lidoda Duvha signalled their intent for the new season by splashing the cash in the transfer window and it appears that Soccoia had not done enough to make use of the improved squad.
Patrick Mabedi has also been removed as assistant coach. Leopards are in 12th position with four points after five matches.
Leopards are now looking for a new coach as they prepare to face Stellenbosch FC at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.
