Siyanda Xulu on the lookout for a new club - agent

Siyanda Xulu is keen to finish the current Premier Soccer League season with Maritzburg United before searching for a new club.

The 28-year-old Bafana Bafana defender has previously played for Mamelodi Sundowns, FC Rostov and Kaizer Chiefs before joining the Team of Choice in 2017.

He is coming to the end of his current contract and Xulu's agent Paul Mitchell says the future of his client is a concern.

He told SAFM: "Siyanda Xulu is our big worry at the moment.

"His contract with Maritzburg ends in June. He would like to finish the season at Maritzburg and then start looking."

He added: "We have not signed a pre-contract with anyone and have not signed a new deal at United either.

"I think for Siyanda now at 28 he is in his prime. He is a top player and available on a free contract. He could consider a move back to Gauteng if it arises.

"He can also move abroad because it's all about the right move financially at this stage of his career."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
