Sikhakhane wants Bance boost

Cape Town - Chippa United will be banking on the experience of striker Aristide Bance to bolster the team's goal-scoring capabilities.

Bance, who has played football in 11 countries, will be looked towards to improve the Chilli Boys form which so far sits at four wins, one draw and six losses.

Chippa coach Roger Sikhakhane has been under pressure after some poor displays in recent games, but expects the Burkina Faso international to play an influential role this season.

"His experience is not questionable because that is one thing that you notice when he plays. He uses his experience gained from playing all over the world to good effect," Sikhakhane told KickOff.

"He will be even more effective in the new year, by which time I really think we will get more out of him. He is a kind of guy who is always willing to work for the benefit of the team."

Chippa return to Premiership action on Friday the 18th, when they will host Bloemfontein Celtic at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
