Shandu has called on his team-mates to emulate the club's exploits in
the 2016/17 campaign as they look to avoid relegation this season.
The Team of Choice finished the 2016/17 season a comfortable 10
points clear of the relegation zone, clinching a seventh-place finish in
Shandu made 27 appearances for Maritzburg in that season and has
highlighted the "unity" and "dedication" shown by the team as a crucial
factor in what turned out to be a successful campaign.
And, the 24-year-old has called for more of the same this season as
bottom-of-the-table United look to use their remaining eight fixtures to
lift themselves out of the dreaded drop zone.
