Sekotlong's agent explains Downs move

Cape Town - Thokozani Sekotlong's representative, Ayanda Sigwili, has explained that the attacker's surprise move to Mamelodi Sundowns came about after he impressed the club on trial.

The 26-year-old deal seemed to be in the football wilderness after being released by Free State Stars at the end of last season, however, Sekotlong now has a new lease on life after signing a lucrative five-year deal at Chloorkop.

As such, Sigwili explained how his client's move to Downs came about. He told Soccer Laduma, "The player has been training with Sundowns for the past few weeks. He has done well and has been signed on a long-term contract.

"It's football and it's something that he (Sekotlong) understands. He knew that he had to be strong and he kept working.

"He is very excited about the move. He has been welcomed well at the club and is looking forward to working hard for the team. He is a player who always gives his best in whatever he does."
