Seema confident Gordinho will stay at Celtic

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic assistant coach Lehlohonolo Seema believes Lorenzo Gordinho will honour his loan agreement and will not return early to Kaizer Chiefs.

Gordinho joined Celtic on a one-year loan deal in January although this agreement has no recall option. As such, Seema takes the view that the centre-back will stay on board despite Chiefs' efforts to bring him back to Naturena.

The Glamour Boys are attempting to solidify in the middle of defence after an uncertain start to the campaign at the back.

He told Kickoff: "His loan can only end in December. It was during those times when there was a crisis in financials, it was not a recent letter. It's an old letter.

"He will see his contract through, his loan spell ends in December. Management is handling it, they are talking with Chiefs but I think his contract is up to December, so I think he will see his contract through.

"For now we are not focusing on that because we think that Gordinho will see his contract through. So we haven't even thought about that because he is part of the team as we speak so...he's got a contract that is running, so we don't want to even to think about that. He's got a contract that is solid.

"He will see his contract through as long as he is doing his job well. That's why I'm saying we want to look at the positives and move away from the negatives. So really we haven't even thought about that. He will need to honour his contract, and the two clubs have spoken."
