Sahel are beatable - Tinkler

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinkler has highlighted the qualities of CAF Confederation Cup Final opponents Etoile du Sahel, but insists the Tunisian giants are beatable.

Tinkler has been scouting the opposition ahead of his side's first-leg clash at Orlando Stadium on Saturday night and is wary of the threat they pose.

However, he is confident in his own side's ability and called on them to replicate the performances that saw them defeat Al Ahly 5-3 on aggregate.

"They have some quality players," Tinkler told Soccer Laduma.

"What I have also noticed about their coach (Faouzi Benzarti) is that he has hardly kept the same starting line-up, however some of those changes were forced by suspensions and injuries.

"He has a Brazilian striker, Da Costa (Diogo Acosta - number 18), who got a two match suspension after they played Esperance. The coach has so many options as they have a lot of depth in their team. Every player that has come in has performed extremely well.

"But are they beatable? Yeah, of course! If we can perform like we did against Al Ahly, we can do it as Ahly beat them at home."

Kick-off is at 20:00.
